Who in the world is Aryn?

Aryn grew up helping her skilled jack-of-all-trades father, learning how to take care of vehicles, siding and roofing houses, and basic electrical and plumbing skills. This early exposure to construction and maintenance increased her interest in how things are built and how they work. Her mother taught her how to cook, clean and mend items around the home, extending thier use, and encouraged her to read and expand her mind. Aryn's love for art was recognized early, and regularly encouraged by her mother, who ensured she had ample opportunities to create using a variety of mediums.

Throughout her career, she has worked in various fields, including sales, marketing, and mail delivery, but found herself repeatedly drawn to administrative roles within the construction industry. Eventually, her administrative skills led her to work in oil and gas quality control. However, her dream of designing community-centric, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly homes persisted.

Following the Fort Mac fire, she took a leap of faith and pursued her dream of working in architectural design by enrolling in an architectural CAD technician diploma course. She is currently a full-time student at Athabasca University, studying to achieve a bachelor's degree in architecture. She is driven by her passion for high-quality, accessible and efficient livable design and aims to help clients visualize their plans using the latest technologies.

Aryn is encouraged by her husband, Aaron, and distracted by their two playful pups, Leia and Obi, while building her business, Ardra Vision.
